FRENCHIE DY – Renowned singer Frenchie Dy breaks her silence on her battle with Bell’s Palsy and reveals an important update about her health.
Frenchie Dy recently took to social media to share an update on her health after being diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy for the third time. The singer, known for her powerful voice and positive outlook, posted a video on February 5, documenting her first day of therapy as she embarks on the road to recovery.
Frenchie revealed that she is undergoing electrotherapy to help stimulate the muscles on her face. Despite the challenge, she managed to keep her spirits high, even joking that the treatment felt like she was getting an Ultherapy session. Following the electrotherapy, she received a facial massage and infrared radiation therapy to enhance circulation and promote healing.

The singer stated that she needs to attend therapy three times a week to aid in her recovery. Remaining optimistic, she expressed her gratitude to fans and supporters for their encouragement. “I’m very patient and I’m claiming na magiging okay ‘to agad agad. Maraming maraming salamt sa encouraging words ninyong lahat. You motivate me, guys. Thank you so much,” she said.
In addition to her therapy sessions, Frenchie shared a separate video demonstrating how she performs a facial massage on herself, a routine she must follow three times a day. She also disclosed that she is scheduled to undergo further medical tests, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and electromyography (EMG), to determine the underlying cause of her recurring Bell’s Palsy.
“I’m praying na hindi serious, na walang kahit na ano, as in Bell’s Palsy lang at makaka-recover ako,” she expressed, hoping for a full and swift recovery.
According to the Mayo Clinic, Bell’s Palsy is a condition characterized by sudden muscle weakness or paralysis on one side of the face. Although its exact cause remains unknown, most people recover within a few weeks to six months. However, it is uncommon for individuals to experience the condition multiple times, making Frenchie’s case particularly rare.
Despite the challenges, Frenchie Dy remains hopeful and determined to overcome her condition. Her resilience and positivity continue to inspire her fans, who eagerly await her full recovery and return to the stage.
