BINI Maloi Calls for End to Fake News After Link to Rico Blanco
BINI MALOI – A member of the popular Filipino girl group BINI has broken her silence after being linked with singer Rico Blanco.
Maloi, whose real name is Mary Loi Yves Kipte Ricalde, is a singer, dancer, and one of the main vocalists of the Filipino girl group BINI. She began singing at the age of three and was actively involved in extracurricular activities such as swimming, badminton, and chorale groups during her school years. Maloi participated in a choral competition in Malaysia in 2018, where her group won three gold medals.
She joined Star Hunt Academy in 2018 and became part of BINI in 2020. The group officially debuted in June 2021, and Maloi has since gained recognition for her vocal talent and contributions to Filipino pop music. In addition to her music career, Maloi is also involved in charity work and has conducted outreach programs for children in need.
BINI Maloi is currently making waves online after she was spotted with Rico Blanco in La Union, sparking numerous reactions from fans on social media. A video showing them walking together quickly went viral, with many expressing surprise at the unexpected pairing. One user even commented on the rare sight of seeing Maloi and Blanco together in one frame.
However, the two were not alone in La Union. They were accompanied by other notable OPM artists, such as Agnes Reoma of Ben&Ben, Pat Lasaten, Zild Benitez, and Blaster Silonga. Agnes shared an Instagram story with the caption, “When the plan makes it out of the group chat,” which Maloi later reposted.
Amid the viral attention, Maloi took to social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter), to plead for an end to the spread of fake news. “STOP SPREADING FAKE NEWS . PLS LANG,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, fans of BINI Maloi are urging The Philippine Star to apologize for its article linking the girl group member to the OPM artist. The article’s author, Jan Milo Severo, is also trending online.
