Bong Revilla Drops Bombshell: Reveals More Children Outside Marriage with Lani Mercado
BONG REVILLA – Senator Bong Revilla shocks the public as he reveals he has more illegitimate children outside his marriage to Lani Mercado.
Actor-politician Bong Revilla candidly admitted that he has more illegitimate children outside his marriage with actress Lani Mercado. During a media conference on December 14 for the third season of his show “Tolome: Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis,” the senator addressed the topic while discussing his character, who was dealing with a child he fathered outside marriage.
“Alam ni Lani kung ano ‘yung totoo (Lani knows the truth). Meron [anak sa labas]. But I’m not going to. Pero meron (But there are). Makikilala niyo rin kung sino siya, kung sino sila (You soon will know about them),” Revilla said, admitting the existence of his illegitimate children.
Bong Revilla emphasized that he is not ashamed to acknowledge his children outside of his marriage, stressing the importance of treating them fairly. “Hindi naman pwede itago ‘yan, unfair ‘yon sa mga bata. Kapag anak mo, anak mo. Dugo mo ‘yon. Mahalin mo ‘yon. At hindi ko ikinahihiya ‘yon,” he declared.
Although Revilla confirmed he has two other daughters outside his marriage, he chose not to disclose their names or details about their mothers.
This is not the first time the senator’s personal life has made headlines. Before marrying Lani Mercado in 1986, Revilla had a relationship with Lovely Guzman, a non-showbiz personality. Their union resulted in one son, Luigi.
Meanwhile, Revilla and Mercado, who tied the knot in a civil ceremony, have seven children together: Bryan, Jolo, Inah, Alexandra, Gianna, Franzel, and Ramboy.
The revelation has sparked public curiosity about the identities of Revilla’s other children and their potential impact on his political and personal life. Despite the controversy, the senator’s openness about the matter underscores his stance on embracing all his children.
