Former Vice Pres. Leni Robredo previously sought for help as pump boats are needed for the rescue of the flood victims who were stucked in the roof of their houses. According to the former Vice President, several trucks were stalled due to the flood.

The Naga City local government unit (LGU) also appealed for vehicles that can help storm in floodwater that is three to six feet deep. The city is greatly affected by the calamity and a shopping mall where many evacuees stayed for safety was hit by flood thus, the people had to transfer to the second floor of the building.

Several buses and vehicles in Naga bus terminal were also soaked in floodwater amid the onslaught of Tropical Storm Kristine. To help the flood victims of Typhoon Kristine in Naga, former Vice Pres. Leni Robredo, her Angat Buhay and Team Naga, and several other individuals and entities moved.

Former VP Robredo previously announced that Angat Buhay has authorized the non-governmental organization (NGO) Kaya Natin! to receive cash donations for the flood victims. According to the former Vice President, she and not anyone from the Angat Buhay team will receive cash donations as part of their policy for “transparency and accountability”.

Former Vice Pres. Leni Robredo also braved the floodwater to roam around Naga and distribute food and water to the victims of the flood. Based on a post of Raffy Magno who is one of the members of the team that provide aid to the flood victims, they were soaked in the floodwater since 7:00 in the morning and he was really exhausted.

Raffy did not hesitate to share that he asked to be left behind as he was too tired and he did not expect that the former Vice President will brave the floodwater again to distribute aid to the flood victims. They were dipped in floodwater while they bring rubber boats carrying water and food.

“Bago siya umalis after mag refill ng mga goods sa truck, sabi ko kay Maam — paiwan po muna ako, dahil pagod na talaga. Ang sabi lang naman niya ay — okay. Hindi ko naman akalain na lulusong siya ulit. Nakababad kami sa baha since 7AM ngayong araw. Off to our last ikot tonight.”
