Chloe San Jose’s Deportation Called for by Lawyer if She’s Confirmed as an Australian Citizen
ATTY. WILFREDO GARRIDO – The lawyer has called for the deportation of Chloe San Jose if she is confirmed to be an Australian citizen.
In a Facebook post, he argued that if Chloe renounced her Filipino citizenship, she could only be in the Philippines as a tourist, which would legally prohibit her from working in the country. Garrido emphasized that as a tourist, Chloe would be violating Philippine law by engaging in work, noting that her activities on social media, particularly on TikTok, could be considered taxable income. He stated, “That means she can’t work,” pointing out that Chloe claims to be independent and not relying on her boyfriend, Caloy, while showcasing her assets online.
The lawyer referenced Chloe’s appearances on the television show ASAP, where she has performed at least twice which likely earned her talent fees. Additionally, he mentioned her endorsement of a skincare product, suggesting that her promotional activities would have generated significant income for both her and Caloy.
Garrido further criticized Chloe for her behavior, stating that she does not act like a typical visitor in the Philippines, particularly in her interactions with the parents of her boyfriend, Carlos Yulo. He remarked, “This girl doesn’t behave like a visitor. She acts like she owns the Philippines.”
In conclusion, Atty. Garrido stated that he would apologize for his comments if Chloe could prove that she holds dual citizenship and has not entirely given up her Filipino citizenship.
Meanwhile, Chloe Anjeleigh San Jose and Carlos Yulo began their online relationship in 2020 after she reached out to him as a fan post-2019 SEA Games. They first met in person at the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam in 2021 and have maintained a strong long-distance connection. Controversy arose when Carlos’s mother, Angelica Poquiz Yulo, reportedly disapproved of their relationship.
