Kylie Padilla Wants To Be a Better Mom To Two Kids
KYLIE PADILLA – GMA-7 actress Kylie Padilla is making brave steps to be the best mother to her two kids.
Celebrity mom Kylie Padilla is determined to break away from toxic masculinity in her approach to raising her two sons. In a recent Instagram post, Kylie shared a photo of herself holding the book ‘How To Raise A Boy: The Power of Connection to Build Good Men’ by Michael C. Reichert. Released in 2020, the book offers guidance to parents on raising boys to become “confident, accomplished, and kind men.”
In her caption, Kylie revealed that she has “deeply rooted toxic beliefs on masculinity” that she must unlearn in order to become a better mother to her sons, Alas and Axl. She emphasized that she cannot fully nurture her sons if she still harbors any lingering resentment towards men. Reading this book, she said, gave her a valuable chance to reflect on her parenting style and understand the factors that shaped the men in her life.
This isn’t the first time Kylie has opened up about her parenting journey. In an interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ last July, she discussed how she co-parents with her ex-partner, Aljur Abrenica.
She explained that they regularly communicate when Aljur takes the children. ” “Aljur and I co-parent. Everytime na kukunin niya ‘yung mga bata, we talk. If may bagong ugali ‘yung mga anak namin na sa tingin ko kailangan niyang pagsabihan or to guide them. Same with him. Batuhan lang kami and we try to make it as consistent as possible,” she shared.
Kylie’s interest in the book is also part of her commitment to continuous personal growth. In 2022, on her 29th birthday, she posted a selfie on Instagram with a caption that expressed her dedication to becoming a better person for her children, noting that they can learn from her actions. By rejecting toxic masculinity and focusing on raising her boys with empathy and understanding, Kylie is taking active steps toward becoming the best mother she can be.
