Dra. Liza Ramoso-Ong, Doc Willie Ong’s Wife, Finalizes Candidacy of Husband for Senator
DOC WILLIE ONG’S WIFE – On behalf of the cardiologist, Dra. Liza Ong filed the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) of her husband for senator.
The Filipino people was undeniably shocked and saddened when Doc Willie Ong announced that he was diagnosed with cancer. The popular cardiologist is currently in a battle against sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that is challenging to treat. His mass is blocking his esophagus.
According to Doc Willie, his doctors found a 16-centimeter mass “deeply hidden” behind his heart, in front of his spine. His doctors said that it is inoperable as there are a lot of blood vessels attached to it. Currently, he is in Singapore for his treatment.
Doc Willie Ong is undergoing chemotherapy sessions abroad. Amid his health battle, he is vocal about his desire for the Filipino people to also have the same healthcare system in the country and for the poor. He continuously stressed his goals for the Filipinos.
However, the popular cardiologist also previously admitted that the negative thoughts and feelings he got from the bashing during the 2022 Elections may have something to do with his disease. He stressed that he has good intentions but he was bashed.
Unexpectedly, a few days ago, Doc Willie Ong said in one of his videos that everything that he is doing is for the Filipino people. He claimed that he has a plan which his doctors do not know as they may get mad. It sparked the speculations that he may be running in the 2025 Midterm Election.
Doc Willie previously announced his desire to run in the next election but his doctors do not approve it. Unexpectedly, Doc Willie is running for senator in the 2025 Midterm Elections. It earned different reactions from the netizens with some convincing him to focus on his health.
The cardiologist is looking forward to two (2) miracles — his recovery from cancer and his election winning. Doc Willie Ong’s wife was expected to file his Certificate of Candidacy for senator on his behalf.
Recently, Philippine Star took to social media photos of Dra. Liza Ramoso-Ong holding the Certificate of Candidacy of her husband. Based on the post, Doc Willie Ong’s wife has filed his COC for senator on his behalf at the Manila Hotel.
