Doc Liza Ong Goes Emotional in Representing Dr. Willie Ong at Candidacy Filing

On Behalf of Doc Willie Ong, Doc Liza Ong Files Husband’s COC

DOC LIZA ONG – The wife of Doc Willie Ong could not resist from getting emotional as she represented her husband in the filing of candidacy.

Currently, the filing of candidacies for the May 2025 Elections is ongoing. There are several existing politicians who are seeking a re-election while there are also new political aspirants. One of those who planned to run for senator in next year’s election is Doc Willie Ong.

However, Doc Willie is currently in Singapore for his treatment against cancer. The cardiologist was diagnosed with sarcoma — a 16-centimeter mass grew behind his heart, in front of his spine blocking his esophagus.

Doc Willie previously admitted his belief that the negative thoughts and feelings he got from the 2022 Election campaign bashing may have contributed to his sickness. He ran for vice president in 2022 but lost, placing 4th in the results.

Meanwhile, visibly, his cancer and his negative feelings from the bashing were not able to stop him from his pursuit for a better service and healthcare system for the Filipino people. Amid his fight against sarcoma, he is determined for a senatorial bid next year.

Doc Liza Ong, the wife of Doc Willie, was set to be his representative at the filing of his Certificate of Candidacy or COC for senator. At the filing of Doc Willie’s COC at The Manila Hotel, she was accompanied by their legal counsel.

Prior to the announcement of his senatorial bid, a netizen penned an open letter for Doc Willie Ong convincing him to focus on himself first. According to him, the cardiologist is too good for the Philippine politics.
