Here’s Charlie Puth Heartbreaking Tribute to One Direction Star Liam Payne
CHARLIE PUTH – American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth paid tribute to his friend One Direction member Liam Payne.
Liam Payne, former member of the world-renowned boyband One Direction, has tragically passed away at 31 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Local authorities report that Payne died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in the affluent Palermo neighborhood.
Police stated that an emergency crew was dispatched in response to a 911 call about a man acting aggressively, possibly under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Upon arriving at the hotel, officers heard a loud sound from the interior courtyard, where they found Payne’s body.
Alberto Crescenti, the director of emergency medical services, confirmed that Payne sustained “serious injuries” and that an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death. Crescenti did not provide additional details about the circumstances surrounding the fall.
Payne rose to international fame in 2010 as part of One Direction, a boyband formed on the UK talent show The X Factor. Alongside Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik, Payne became a global sensation. The group eventually became one of the most successful boybands in history before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
Earlier in the month, Payne was spotted attending a concert by his former bandmate, Niall Horan, in Argentina, reflecting the enduring bond among the former members of One Direction.
