Vilma Santos Shares Memorable First Meeting W/ Nadine Lustre
VILMA SANTOS – Veteran actress Vilma Santos shared a throwback picture to her first time meeting actress Nadine Lustre.
Vilma Santos often called the “Star for All Seasons,” is a highly respected and influential figure in Philippine entertainment and politics. She rose to fame as a child actress and has since become one of the country’s most iconic film and television stars.
Vilma started her career in the entertainment industry at the age of 9 when she was cast in the film Trudis Liit (1963), for which she won the FAMAS Best Child Actress Award. Her performance in this and subsequent roles established her as a popular child star.
Vilma Santos successfully transitioned into politics, serving as the mayor of Lipa City from 1998 to 2007 and then as the governor of Batangas Province from 2007 to 2016. In 2016, she was elected as the representative of the 6th District of Batangas in the House of Representatives, where she served until 2019.
Vilma is married to politician Ralph Recto, a senator in the Philippines. They have one son, Ryan Christian Recto. Vilma also has another son, Luis Manzano, from her previous marriage to actor Edu Manzano. Luis is a well-known TV host and actor in the Philippines.

Vilma Santos shared a throwback picture of her first meeting with actress Nadine Lustre on social media. In a now-deleted Instagram story, the veteran actress revealed that she first got to know Lustre and collaborated with her on an episode of the Kapamilya drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya” called “Regalo.”
Santos and Lustre are among the star-studded cast members of the upcoming film “Uninvited,” which is being produced by Mentorque Productions and Project 8 Projects.
“Uninvited” marks Dan Villegas’s directorial debut with Santos and Lustre.
There are few details available about the movie, and no release date has been announced.
