VP Sara Duterte Speaks To Members of KOJC on their Founding Anniversary
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President apologized to the members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) for seeking support for Bongbong Marcos for 2022 Elections.
The presence of the Philippine National Police (PNP) at the KOJC compound in Davao was opposed by several members of the church led by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. The PNP cops are in the pursuit of finding the Pastor to serve the arrest warrant against him.
Complaints were filed against Pastor Quiboloy but he was hiding for more than five (5) months now. The Senate cited him for contempt after ditching the inquiry set by the upper chamber and released an arrest order against him.
Reward money was up for information that could lead to Quiboloy’s arrest but the authorities still failed to locate the Pastor. Only a co-accused of the Pastor was arrested in Davao City amid rumors and speculations that he is hiding in Davao City.
Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, a close friend of Pastor Quiboloy, previously slammed the decision of the Court of Appeals to put the Pastor’s assets under a Freeze Order. The Court has recently decided to extend the Freeze Order on the bank accounts and properties registered under the name of the Pastor and the KOJC until February 2025.
For more than a week now, the Philippine National Police (PNP) is on intensified efforts to locate Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. Drilling activitivies were performed in the KOJC compound amid the opposition of the members on the moves of the authorities.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte attended the 39th Founding Anniversary of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, at the event, the Vice President apologized to the members of the KOJC for seeking their support for Pres. Bongbong Marcos during the 2022 Elections.
“I was on the mistaken belief that we were together on the platform of unity and continuity. Nagkamali ako kaya hinihingi ko ang patawad ninyo,” the Vice President said.
The intensified efforts of the PNP to locate Pastor Quiboloy which included drilling activities in the KOJC compound happened under the Marcos administration. Based on the report, the Vice President expressed their family’s gratitude to the KOJC members citing their huge debt to them for the opportunity to serve the country.
Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte addressed the questions on her relationship with Pres. Bongbong Marcos. It is amid several instances that showed a rift between the two (2) government officials.
