Ang’s significant contributions to SMC began in 1999 when he became vice-chairman. By 2002, he was president and COO, and he gained control of SMC in 2012. Under his leadership, SMC has grown significantly. In June 2024, Ang transitioned to Chairman and CEO of SMC, with his son John Paul Ang taking on key executive roles.
