Fast Food Worker Who Worked at Burger King for 27 Years Buys House, Food Truck

Remember Burger King Worker Kevin Ford? Here’s What Happened to Him After Fundraising

KEVIN FORD – A fast-food worker with 27 years of perfect attendance at Burger King, has used donations to buy a house and a food truck.

Ford, 57, became widely known in 2022 when he received a small gift bag from his employer, Burger King, for 27 years of perfect attendance. The gift bag, which included a movie ticket, two pens, a pack of Reese’s chocolates, and a Starbucks cup, led to a strong reaction from the public, who felt that Ford deserved more for his loyalty and hard work.

Moved by this, Ford’s daughter, Seryna Ford, set up a GoFundMe page that garnered significant support, including a $5,000 donation from comedian David Spade. By January 2024, the campaign had raised $465,389, enabling Ford to buy a modest home for himself and his four children.

Despite this newfound financial stability, Ford continued working in fast food and recently bought a food truck. He plans to retire from fast-food work and start his own business, offering a mix of American and Filipino food. He also hopes to bring his Filipina fiancée to the U.S. to join him in this venture.

Ford expressed his gratitude for the support he received and his desire to give back. “I wanted to do something to pay back what the world did for me. I wanted to not only make money but do something to help the community,” he told People. His goal is to support the community while pursuing his passion for cooking.

As he begins this new chapter, Ford is eager and motivated to succeed in his food truck business, showcasing his readiness to embrace change and follow his dreams.
