Who will get the Reward Money for Pastor Quiboloy’s Arrest? DILG Answers
DILG – The Department of Interior and Local Government spoke on the reward money for the arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Recently, the confidence of countless Filipinos on the police authorities were boosted by the arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. The leader and founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ are faced with several allegations in the Philippines and abroad.
For more than two (2) weeks, the Philippine National Police (PNP) conducted intensified search operations at the KOJC compound in Davao City. Their search operations inside the compound included drilling activities after they detected a human heartbeat underground. They dug in the belief that the Pastor may be hiding in a bunker.
The PNP authorities drilled near the Jose Maria College building. Previously, Attorney Israelito Torreon, the legal counsel of Pastor Quiboloy and the spokesperson of the KOJC, expressed the worries of their architects and engineers that the PNP operations may affect the stability of the building.
Amid the authorities conducting an intensified search operation at the KOJC compound, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Atty. Israelito Torreon expressed their belief that the Pastor may no longer be inside the compound. The Vice President also apologized to the KOJC members.
At the Founding Anniversary of the church founded by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, Vice Pres. Duterte apologized to the KOJC members for seeking their support for Pres. Bongbong Marcos in the 2022 Elections. They were running-mates.
According to Vice Pres. Duterte, she was on a “mistaken belief” on the platform of unity and continuity. The intensified search for their Founder came under the Marcos administration. Pres. Marcos also did not grant the condition set by Pastor Quiboloy for his surrender.
Previously, the DILG announced that some “friends” are pledging to give P10 million reward money to anyone who can give an information that could lead to the arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. Reward money was also up for information about his co-accused.
Now that the Pastor has been arrested, there are questions on who will receive the P10 million reward money. Based on a report on GMA News, DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos expressed that he is living it up to the PNP and to those who offered the reward on what to do with the multi-million peso reward money set for the arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and his co-accused.
Recently, Pastor Quiboloy’s close friend, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, filed charges against the DILG Secretary and several PNP high officials for the intensified search operations at the KOJC compound. Previously, the former Chief Executive also expressed his disagreement on the Court of Appeals’ Freeze Order on the assets of the Pastor.
