Meet Ashley Yap, the Daughter of Richard Yap
ASHLEY YAP – A talent from Sparkle GMA Artist Center proudly launched her first business venture, Sip2Glow, on August 1, 2024. Her father, Richard Yap, served as her first celebrity endorser at the event in Electric Garden, Bonifacio Global City.
During the press launch, Ashley expressed that starting a business had always been a dream, inspired by her parents, Richard and Melody Yap, who own several successful businesses, including restaurants and a pet hotel. She grew up wanting to create her own brand, especially one related to beauty and health.
Ashley’s interest in beauty and health intensified after the pandemic, leading her to combine these aspects in her new venture. She wanted to offer a product that enhances both external beauty and internal health.
Her decision to create her own brand solidified in 2022 when she was recognized as the Highest Performing Affiliate Partner by Lazada. This achievement made her realize the trust people had in her recommendations, motivating her to develop and share her own quality products.
Ashley’s global travels further fueled her desire to introduce products not yet available in the Philippines, aiming to elevate customer experiences. It took nearly two years of meticulous planning before she felt ready to launch Sip2Glow.
Starting the business came with challenges, including a significant one when their supplier’s warehouse was flooded during Typhoon Carina. Ashley credited her reliable team for overcoming such obstacles, emphasizing the importance of teamwork.
Working with her father, Richard, who is a male endorser, sets Sip2Glow apart from typical collagen drink brands. Ashley wanted to show that collagen drinks are for everyone, regardless of gender or age. Richard, who experienced the product’s benefits firsthand, happily endorsed it, joking that he had no choice but also genuinely believing in its quality.
Ashley, utilizing her Marketing Management education from De La Salle University, has also learned vital lessons from her parents. She emphasized the importance of taking care of her team, perseverance, and being hands-on in business. These principles, instilled by her parents, guide her as she embarks on her entrepreneurial journey.
