Jojo Nones Pens Letter of Apology for Sen. Jinggoy Estrada over Senate Hearing Behavior
JINGGOY ESTRADA – The Senator confirmed that Jojo Nones has apologized over his behavior and he was released from Senate detention.
The Muhlach family is currently in the pursuit of seeking justice for what was allegedly done by two (2) GMA-7 contractors against Sandro Muhlach, the eldest son of Niño Muhlach. The young actor has accusations against the contractors for allegedly taking advantage of him.
According to Sandro, the alleged incident happened after the GMA Gala, an annual event held by the Kapuso network. Prior to the young actor filing a complaint, rumors already circulated on social media. The allegations named Dode Cruz and Jojo Nones as the GMA-7 contractors.
According to GMA-7, Nones and Cruz are both independent contractors of the network. They are placed under suspension but the network stressed that despite their being independent contractors, they are bound to follow the Code of Conduct set by the network.
Both Jojo and Dode deny the allegations. Sandro has filed a complaint against them before the National Bureau of Investigation. The NBI has also accompanied Sandro in filing a complaint against the two (2) GMA-7 contractors before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
The camps involved were invited by the Senate for a hearing. Niño Muhlach was emotional as he narrated how his son opened up to him regarding what the Kapuso contractors allegedly did to him.
In the latest hearing, Sandro Muhlach attended via teleconference. Only Jojo Nones was present at the inquiry as Dode Cruz, the other GMA-7 contractor, is still confined in the hospital. Senator Jinggoy Estrada cited Jojo Nones for contempt for allegedly lying and not answering the questions.
Recently, based on a report on GMA News Balitambayan, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada confirmed that Jojo Nones has apologized over his behavior in the previous Senate hearing. He was released from the Senate after 10 days of detention.
In his letter to Sen. Estrada, Nones acknowledged that his words may have been disrespectful and he regrets that he allowed his emotions to get the best of him. According to the GMA-7 independent contractor, he was not able to express himself in the way he wants due to anxiety and stress.
“The anxiety and stress I’ve been experiencing due to my detention unfortunately clouded my judgment,” Nones said.
Based on the report, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada has written a letter to Sen. Robin Padilla expressing that he is not against if the detention order will be lifted. Senate President Chiz Escudero has approved Nones’ release order.
