For a private performance in India, Justin Bieber receives a P585.2 million talent fee

JUSTIN BIEBER – The Canadian singer-songwriter received a talent fee of P585.2 million (US$10 million) for a private performance in Mumbai, India, on July 5, 2024. He arrived in Mumbai on July 4 via a private plane, but the Indian press couldn’t approach him due to tight security.

Bieber was invited to perform at the sangeet (musical night) pre-wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, who are set to marry on July 12, 2024. Anant is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries and Asia’s richest man, with a net worth of US$123.3 billion.

Justin’s stay in India was brief. After his performance at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, he returned to the U.S. A photographer at the airport reported that Justin declined photo requests from the Indian press. This contrasted with Rihanna’s visit in March 2024 for another pre-wedding celebration for Anant and Radhika, where she was friendly with guests and accommodated photo requests from reporters.
Justin shared photos and videos of his performance at the pre-wedding event on his official Instagram.

Anant and Radhika spent a significant amount to invite the Canadian singer, aiming to make their wedding memorable. Their pre-wedding celebrations have been ongoing for months, culminating in a grand wedding reception on July 14, 2024.
