Kapuso Actress Bea Alonzo Speaks on Split with Dominic Roque
BEA ALONZO – The Kapuso actress clarified her contradicting claims on her breakup with former fiance Dominic Roque.
Last February 11, 2024, countless hearts were left broken by the unexpected announcement that the engagement of Bea and Dominic was called off. The confirmation that the two celebrities have broken up came after a few weeks of speculations.
Dominic and Bea were together for around four years when he proposed for marriage to the actress. The engagement was held at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan last July 18, 2024. She thought that it was a photoshoot for the GMA Gala but it was all part of the actor’s plan to ask her hand in marriage.
Countless people were left happy and inspired when Bea got engaged to Dominic. Living a celebrity life, it is no secret to the public that the actress went through several painful breakups in the past and many people are happy to see “Basha” getting engaged. However, the next events in their lives were the least of what are expected to happen next.
In January of this year, speculations and rumors that Dominic Roque and Bea Alonzo have broken up crossed the surface. There were cheating allegations on the part of the actor as well as questions about his gender preference.
The actress also received negative criticisms about her alleged standards in the relationship. There was also an issue about the alleged pre-nuptial agreement.
Both Bea and Dominic remained mum on the reason behind their breakup. The actress had a vacation with her family abroad at the height of their separation while the actor is visibly spending his time and focus on the things he loves to do.
In a previous interview with Nelson Canlas, Bea Alonzo claimed that it was not her who initiated her breakup with Dominic Roque. However, in an interview for Tatler Asia, the actress said that their breakup was a mutual decision. Recently, during an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the actress clarified her contradicting statements.
Speaking to Boy who hugged her before the interview, Bea Alonzo said that their decision to break up eventually became a mutual decision. She stressed that they really tried to work things out first and they went through a “long process” before they have both decided to part ways.
According to the actress, after her failed relationship with Dominic, she is now embracing uncertainty. She also realized how resilient she is and she learned to cancel the “noise” that she does not need in her life. She is closing the chapter with gratitude for the beautiful memories as well as for the not-so-beautiful memories that made her stronger.
