P10 Million Peso Reward Offered for the Arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy
PASTOR APOLLO QUIBOLOY – A reward of P10 million is being offered for the capture of the religious leader, as announced by Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr.
During a press conference on Monday, Abalos also disclosed a P1 million reward for the arrest of Quiboloy’s associates—Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid Canada, Sylvia Camanes, and Jackiely Roy.
“Meron tayong mga kaibigan na gusto tumulong sa paghahanap sa kanila at nag offer na reward na P10 million for any information leading to the arrest of Pastor Quiboloy and P1 million each for others,” stated the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) chief.
On April 3, a Davao Regional Trial Court issued arrest warrants for Quiboloy and his associates for allegedly violating Republic Act 7610, specifically for the sexual abuse and maltreatment of minors. Additionally, on April 11, a Pasig City court issued a warrant for Quiboloy’s arrest on charges of qualified human trafficking, a non-bailable offense.
Meanwhile, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is a religious leader and the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name, Inc., a religious sect headquartered in Davao City, Philippines. Quiboloy, often referred to as “Pastor Apollo,” claims to be the “Appointed Son of God” and believes himself to have a special relationship with divinity. He gained prominence for his charismatic preaching style and his claims of performing miracles.
The Kingdom of Jesus Christ, founded in 1985, has amassed a substantial following both in the Philippines and internationally, with branches in various countries. Quiboloy’s teachings emphasize salvation, prosperity, and obedience to his authority as the “Appointed Son.” He has been a controversial figure, facing scrutiny and criticism, including allegations of amassing wealth and exerting undue influence over his followers. His organization continues to be a significant presence in Philippine religious and social discourse.
