Air Supply Concert in Bacolod
AIR SUPPLY – The iconic soft rock duo will hold a concert in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, on December 5, 2024.
Air Supply is an iconic soft rock duo originating from Melbourne, Australia, formed in 1975. Consisting of Graham Russell (vocals, guitar) and Russell Hitchcock (vocals), the group has achieved global fame with a string of chart-topping hits and a distinctive sound blending soft rock, pop, adult contemporary, and middle-of-the-road genres.
The duo’s journey began when they met during rehearsals for the Australian production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” in 1975. They initially toured Australia and New Zealand with the musical before focusing on Air Supply. Their debut single, “Love and Other Bruises” (1976), marked their entry into the music scene, followed by their self-titled debut album later that year.
Air Supply’s breakthrough came in the late 1970s and early 1980s with a series of chart-topping singles, including “Lost in Love” (1979), “All Out of Love” (1980), “Every Woman in the World” (1980), and “The One That You Love” (1981). These tracks solidified their international success, particularly in the United States where they earned multiple top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100.
Relocating to Los Angeles in the late 1970s, Air Supply continued to dominate the charts with albums like “Lost in Love” (1980), “The One That You Love” (1981), and “Now and Forever” (1982). Their music, characterized by Russell’s songwriting and Hitchcock’s soaring tenor vocals, struck a chord with audiences worldwide, selling millions of records.
Earlier, the duo announced that they will be having a concert at SMX Bacolod this coming December 5, 2024. Fans are now awaiting the official sale of tickets, and everyone is excited to witness the duo perform on stage.
This is not the first time that the duo will perform in the country. They have performed in the Philippines several times in the past.
