Former Actress Gretchen Barretto Recalls Angelina Jolie-Inspired Lips
GRETCHEN BARRETTO – La Greta recalled the time when she had her lips done to be like Angelina Jolie’s and some people had negative comments.
In the Philippine showbiz industry, many celebrities would agree that a career is not forever. There are actors and actresses who had short showbiz stints for various reasons. One of them is former actress Gretchen Barretto or also popularly called La Greta.
Gretchen was part of several hit TV series and she also did some short roles in some other TV series. She left the limelight and became a full-time mother to her only daughter, Dominique Cojuangco, her daughter with her partner, Tonyboy Cojuangco.
Tonyboy and Gretchen are together for several years. He is a businessman and one of the wealthiest businessmen in the country. Aside from being a hands-on mom to Dominique, she also has several businesses that she manages. The couple is wealthy. Gretchen Barretto was even spotted wearing Bvlgari necklace worth P55 million.
Undeniably, Gretchen Barretto is living a lavish lifestyle but is justifiable with the riches that she and Tonyboy Cojuangco has. She is one of those who can afford to pay home service skin care treatments. During a vlog interview with Dra. Aivee Teo, the celebrity beauty doctor even recalled visiting the home of the former actress for twice or thrice a week then for her skin treatments.
During the vlog interview, Gretchen Barretto recalled that there was a time when she pushed through with lips enhancements. She wanted her lips to be like the lips of Hollywood star Angelina Jolie. Dra. Aivee Teo did her lips enhancements.
Doc Aivee recalled that she was against the desire of Gretchen for what she wanted to happen on her lips. However, the former actress cannot be stopped and she really wants it to look like the lips of the Hollywood actress.
“The days of my lips! I wanted to be like Angelina Jolie. I’m like, ‘No Aivee… bigger!'” La Greta said.
According to Gretchen Barretto, Doc Aivee Teo tried to stop her but she just won’t allow her to and she did not even allow her to leave her house without doing her lips. The former actress’ lips really did become fuller. However, while it made her happy, during the vlog interview, she recalled that it elicited negative reactions from other people.
“Lumaki nang lumaki! People were like, ‘She looks like a fish’,” La Greta recalled.
Despite what other people said, Gretchen Barretto liked her lips. For several decades now, she enjoy beauty maintenance treatments with Dra. Aivee Teo.
