The family often reminds Mr. Leynes not to stay out late, especially when he’s driving. They worry about his safety because he doesn’t see very well. So when he came home late this time, his daughter pretended to scold him.
Catherine Leynes from Lipa City, Batangas, explained that she jokingly scolded her father, Celso Leynes, for not adhering to their advice about not staying out late.
“Lagi po kasi namin yan pinagsasabihan na ‘pag aalis ng bahay lalo ‘pag may dala siyang sasakyan, ‘wag magpapagabi kasi malabo po ang mata niya baka madisgrasya pa siya,” Catherine explained.
Despite her concerns, Catherine noted that her father’s friend had safely escorted him home. She admitted that her scolding was more playful than serious, as she had also been out late that night and arrived home just before him.

“Galing din ako sa labas non, nauna lang ako nakauwi sa kaniya kaya inunahan ko na siya. Siya na pinagalitan ko kunwari,” she added.
