Vice Ganda on people being cheated on: “You cannot do anything to assure you na hindi ka maloloko”
VICE GANDA – The ‘It’s Showtime’ host has sentiments about people being deceived by their partners.
In the latest episode of ‘EXpecially For You,’ Marielle and Zander recounted the conflict in their relationship. Zander allegedly continued using a dating app while he was still with Marielle. He admitted that he was still talking to others aside from his girlfriend.
Because of this, Marielle also developed trust issues—a thing that Vice Ganda said cannot be blamed on her. “Wala ka naman kasi talaga magagawa. You cannot do anything to assure you na hindi ka maloloko kasi at the end of the day ang desisyon para manloko wala naman sa’yo eh nandoon sa kabilang tao, nasa kaniya. Kahit gaano ka pa kahigpit, kahit gaano ka katinong tao eh, hindi ka makakasigurong hindi ka maloloko. Ang desisyon wala naman sa’yo, doon sa magdedesisyon na manloko o hindi,” Vice Ganda said.
According to Vice Ganda, some individuals choose not to end relationships even when faced with deception because they derive satisfaction from having multiple partners. Their ego is boosted by the belief that everyone likes them, and they relish the feeling of having someone while also pursuing others.
The host emphasizes that those who stay in deceitful relationships do so knowingly and intentionally. They derive satisfaction and enjoyment from their actions, fully aware of the consequences, and they find fulfillment in the situation despite any potential harm caused to their partner.
Although hurt and with trust issues, Marielle is still willing to give love another chance. Because maybe this time, she might find the right person.
“EXpecially for You” is a reality dating segment open to individuals aged 18 and above, regardless of gender. The name is a nod to the song “Especially for You” and the term “ex,” indicating past relationships. The segment comprises four parts: interviews with ex-couples, a game where searchers evaluate potential matches, a “Love Selling” round for selected candidates, and an “Ex-Deal” segment where non-selected searchees are introduced, and advice is given to the new couple, who enjoy a dinner date arranged by the show.
