Vice Ganda on Alden Richards: “Galit si Alden kahapon, ‘di ba?”
VICE GANDA – The “It’s Showtime” host joked about Kapuso Star Alden Richards’ hosting style during the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night, which took place on Wednesday evening, May 22.
In the segment “EXpecially For You,” Vice mentioned that he seemed scared of the searcher, Shane, because of how she said “Bakit?” to the searchee, Eric, who had thrown a pick-up line at her. Kim noticed that her ex-boyfriend Makmak was laughing. She said his ex seemed like a “siga.”
“Parang ‘pag boyfriend ka niya, tapos natahimik ka. Sasabihin mo, ‘Anong problema?” Vice said, pretending to talk to Jhong. “Tapos sasabihin mo, ‘Wala!’ ‘Ano ngaaaaa??? Meron!”
Vice added, “Parang si Alden sa MUPH kahapon. BULACAN! CEBU! Galit si Alden kahapon ‘di ba. QUEZON PROVINCE!” Vice Ganda then greeted the actor: “Hi Alden!”
It can be recalled that one of the trending topics from the recent coronation night was Alden’s seemingly shouting and angry way of announcing the finalists. Alden was one of the main hosts of the pageant alongside Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel. As of press time, Alden has not yet reacted to comments about his hosting style.
Meanwhile, the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant was recently held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. Bulacan’s Chelsea Manalo was hailed as the winner. The 1st Runner-up was from Cainta, followed by Quezon Province as the 2nd Runner-up, Baguio as the 3rd Runner-up, and Taguig as the 4th Runner-up.
Additional winners in other pageant categories were also announced: Miss Eco International Philippines 2024 went to Alexie Brooks from Iloilo, Miss Cosmo Philippines 2024 was awarded to Ahtisa Manalo from Quezon Province, Miss Supranational Philippines 2024 was Justine Tarah Mae Valencia from Baguio, and Miss Charm Philippines 2024 was Cyrille Payumo from Pampanga.
