ABS-CBN Calls For Auditions For Hit Comedy Kiddie Gag Show Goin’ Bulilit
GOIN BULILIT – ABS-CBN announced plans to revive its sketch comedy show ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ and will hold auditions for the new cast on May 25.
“Goin’ Bulilit” was a Filipino sketch comedy TV series showcasing children in diverse comedic roles. Broadcasted on ABS-CBN, it aired from February 6, 2005, to August 4, 2019. Renowned for its amusing sketches, parodies, and segments addressing various themes, the show often mirrored adult-oriented programs, albeit from a child’s viewpoint.
The youthful cast entertained viewers with skits, musical performances, and recurring segments, endearing the show to Filipino audiences. Several cast members later pursued prosperous careers in entertainment.
ABS-CBN has announced intentions to bring back its sketch comedy program “Goin’ Bulilit” and will conduct auditions for a new cast on May 25, nearly five years after the show’s conclusion in 2019. According to their video announcement, auditions will be held at the ABS-CBN Audience Entrance in Quezon City from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It’s important to note that only children aged five to ten years old are eligible to audition for the revived series.
Audition prerequisites comprise a child’s profile portfolio along with printed photographs displaying both close-up and full-body shots. Moreover, children should be ready to showcase their abilities in singing, dancing, acting, and delivering jokes.
“Goin’ Bulilit” was broadcasted every Sunday night as part of the network’s Yes Weekend! lineup. The program showcased young talents engaging in diverse comedic sketches and segments, with adult actor Romeo “Dagul” Pastrana as the sole exception.
As the young actors mature, they typically move on from the show to pursue other opportunities. Dagul stands as the sole permanent cast member, although his return for the upcoming season is yet to be confirmed.
Numerous notable personalities kick-started their careers on “Goin’ Bulilit,” including Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montes, Miles Ocampo, Kiray Celis, Nash Aguas, Mika Dela Cruz, Alexa Ilacad, Belle Mariano, Zaijian Jaranilla, Andrea Brillantes, among others.
The series concluded in August 2019, with “Rated Korina” assuming its time slot. The revival is slated to air on ALLTV in the near future.
