Gadon says Bato should be removed from handling the PDEA Leaks probe
LARRY GADON – The Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation, called on the Senate to remove Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa as the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs due to his handling of the “PDEA leaks” investigation.
Gadon made the statement after the third hearing of Dela Rosa’s committee on the alleged PDEA report linking President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and actress Maricel Soriano to illegal drug use.
“Dapat talaga ay itigil na yang hearing hearing na yan ng committee ni Sen. Dela Rosa dahil wala namang patutunguhan at pag-aaksaya lamang ng pera ng gobyerno,” Gadon said. “Yan naman ay base lamang sa chismis. Isipin nyo yung sinasabi ni Sen. Bato ay authentic daw yung form, yung report. It refers only to the authenticity of the form eh kahit naman sinong empleyado ng gobyerno pwede kang gumawa ng report doon sa form na ipi-fill up mo, what matters most eh yung credibility nung nire-report mo. Kung ang iyong superior ay itinanggi o ibinasura yung report mo kasi nga hindi naman credible eh di wala,” he added.
Gadon emphasized the distinction between authenticity and credibility, emphasizing that while a document may be genuine, its trustworthiness regarding the truthfulness of its contents is crucial. He urged Senate President Migz Zubiri to remove Dela Rosa from the committee, alleging its ineffectiveness and intention to destabilize President Bongbong Marcos.
Gadon demanded Dela Rosa reimburse the wasted public funds. He recalled the days when senators were highly competent and scholarly, contrasting them with Dela Rosa’s perceived shortcomings in expressing himself. Gadon concluded that Dela Rosa was unfit to chair the committee.
“Eh itong si Sen. Bato Dela Rosa isipin nyo naman he cannot even expressed himself in straight english even in tagalog mali-mali pa or kaya nauutal pa ano ba naman klaseng senador yan kaya dapat wag ng gawing chairman yan ng komite,” he stressed.
