Danica Sotto finally reacts to the Marc Pingris cheating allegations
DANICA SOTTO – The actress addressed the cheating allegations involving her husband, Marc Pingris, in an interview on the “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast.
She expressed a desire to move past the issue but felt compelled to provide clarity. During the height of the rumors, Danica had posted a quote about betrayal and loyalty on her Instagram Stories, which some connected to the allegations against Marc. However, she clarified that the post was about someone else, specifically a person who had betrayed their trust in a business matter.
“I post because I like the quote or sometimes, noong time na iyon, aaminin ko, it was a feeling that I was feeling about someone else, na parang napipikon ako sa isang tao. And that is a person na nangloko sa amin sa negosyo. A person we truly trusted,” she said.
Danica explained that the tabloids misconstrued her post as confirmation of the cheating allegations against Marc, which was not her intention. She and Marc discussed refraining from posting quotes to avoid further misinterpretation.
In an interview with Nelson Canlas, Danica emphasized the importance of communication between her and Marc, advising him to be cautious about the company he keeps, considering the nature of being a basketball player. She expressed frustration over how easily rumors spread and how they can be twisted and sensationalized by the media and the public.
Having grown up in the showbiz industry, Danica stated that she was accustomed to dealing with rumors. However, she was deeply affected when netizens targeted her children with hurtful comments. She denounced those who speculated about her parents’ supposed karma affecting her family, emphasizing that people shouldn’t make assumptions without knowing the full story.
Regarding the alleged affair between Marc and actress Kim Rodriguez, both parties denied the rumors. Marc reaffirmed his commitment to his family and urged for respect and privacy to protect his children from the repercussions of baseless gossip.
