Here’s the message of Vivian Velez to someone she called “mukhang palaka”
VIVIAN VELEZ – The veteran actress took a jab at someone she referred to as “mukhang palaka” or “looking like a frog.”
In her post, Vivian shared a photo of herself from October 12, 2022, captioned: “Bring it on. We can do this.” She noted: “Dapat ganyan ang itsura mo pagsinasabi mo ang ‘bring it on’ (emoji) hindi yung mukha kang palaka (emoji).”
Although she did not name anyone or specify whom she was referring to, the comments section suggests that her remark was triggered by a statement made by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos in an interview with Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna.
In the comments section, Vivian shared an art card showing the controversial statement made by First Lady Liza: “Bring it on, honey. You are the size of your enemy. I will never stoop down that level. Everytime they say that, they become uglier and uglier. Just look at their face ‘di ba? Tayo, cute pa rin tayo. What a life. Bring it on. There is such thing as karma,” said the First Lady.
The comments from netizens on Vivian Velez’s post are generally humorous and supportive of her jab at someone she described as looking like a frog. One commenter expressed disbelief that despite being from New York and possibly having access to a makeup artist, the person still couldn’t manage to look attractive. Other comments included laughter and agreement, praising Vivian for her bold remark.
Vivian is known to be a supporter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, and although she endorsed former Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso for president, her vice presidential endorsement was for Vice President Sara Duterte.
To recall, it was just recently that First Lady Liza Marcos had a one-on-one interview with Anthony Taberna, during which she discussed her relationship with her husband, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., and his rift with Vice President Sara Duterte.
