Without Her Approval, Carmina Villaroel Admits Her Children’s Partner Wouldn’t Enter Her House
CARMINA VILLAROEL – The actress-television host admitted that her children’s partner wouldn’t set foot in her house if she didn’t approve of them.
Carmina’s remarks during a podcast with Candy Pangilinan, Janice de Belen, and Gelli de Belen gained traction on social media amidst the Darren Espanto and Cassy Legaspi issue. The two made headlines after admitting they are just “best friends.”
In the podcast “Wala Pa Kaming Title Podcast” available on Janice’s Youtube channel, Carmina was asked about her stance if her children, Cassy and Mavy, were to bring someone home who didn’t meet her approval.
Carmina expressed that she would be straightforward with people surrounding her children whom she didn’t like, regardless of whether they were friends, neighbors, or classmates. “Ako kasi whether friends, kapitbahay, o kaeskwela, very open kami. ‘Pag may nakuwento sila o na-witness ako, sinasabi ko agad na hindi ko sila type,” Carmina said. “Sa case ko na gano’n ‘pag sinasabi ko agad, hindi na ‘yan makakaulit sa bahay.”
She also mentioned that her child’s partner would not be exempt from her rules. “Hindi ko nga siya matatangap! Ano ako mag-a-adjust du’n sa girlfriend?” she emphasized.
Meanwhile, after Darren revealed the status of his relationship with Cassy, Carmina left a cryptic quote that says: “Don’t expect the same in return,” which means that one should not anticipate receiving equivalent treatment, actions, or emotions from someone else. It implies that despite offering something—be it love, kindness, favors, or any other form of gesture or effort—there’s no guarantee or obligation for the other person to reciprocate in the same manner.
Cassy’s twin brother Maverick defended their mother for her cryptic posts, explaining that she simply posts what she wants without any relation to social media rumors.
