The return of Willie Revillame to TV5 has been confirmed
WILLIE REVILLAME – The well-known TV host has been officially announced to come back to Philippine television through TV5.
Revillame’s popular game show and community service program, Wowowin, which previously aired on GMA-7 and ALLTV, will now have a new home on TV5. This signifies a significant reunion between the beloved host and the Kapatid Network, where Revillame previously had successful shows from 2010 to 2013, including Willing Willie, WillTime Bigtime, and Wowowillie.
The news of Revillame’s return quickly spread throughout the media after a photo was released by Atty. Enrique “Buko” dela Cruz, one of Wowowin’s legal advisors. The photo showed Revillame alongside prominent TV executives, such as Mediaquest and CignalTV president Jane Basas, TV5 president Guido Zaballero, and Mediaquest chief finance officer John Andal. This image, widely shared on social media, confirmed Revillame’s imminent return to the Kapatid Network.
Moreover, the official Facebook page of Wowowin echoed this sentiment by sharing the aforementioned photo with a caption declaring: “Breaking News! Mga Big Boss ng TV5 at si Kuya Wil, nagkita!”
It is reported that Wowowin will keep its title on TV5 and is scheduled to air after the popular noontime variety show, Eat Bulaga!, which stars Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. This strategic move by TV5 aims to attract a significant daytime audience, taking advantage of the synergy between these two established programs.
The simultaneous airing of Eat Bulaga! and Wowowin is expected to become a highlight for viewers, providing an appealing lineup of entertainment during the afternoon. An insider, speaking anonymously, briefly expressed this sentiment, stating that the afternoons are set to become even livelier with Eat Bulaga! and now Wowowin. Willie Revillame’s last television appearance was on All TV from 2022 to 2023.
