Lady Teacher Bursts Into Tears While Folding Her Uniform
A female teacher goes viral and earns sympathy from the netizens for being emotional while folding her school uniform.
Rich Gonzales, a 30-year-old teacher from Sarangani, couldn’t hold back tears as she folded her uniforms one by one after teaching. But her sadness had a deep reason behind it. Rich dreamed of becoming a teacher ever since she was a child.
“Ever since nung bata kasi ako, ginagawa akong ano, little teacher ng teacher ko. So, parang ang saya on your part na, okay, ganito pala yung feeling pag magtuturo, maka-impart ka somehow,” said Gonzales.
However, her first experience in teaching became a big challenge as she was assigned to a remote area in their region. Rich taught elementary students there.
“In a day, na-travel kami ng 4 to 5 hours. 2 hours via habal-habal ang let’s say mga 3 or 4 hours na lalakarin pa naming para maabot ‘yung lugar. So ano naman, mga kakulangan, medyo marami po talagay when it comes to classroom,” he explained.
The female teacher didn’t give up because she felt how much she was needed by the students she taught in that area. “Doon ka naano na, hay, medyo ano talaga, kailangan ka ng lipunan. As teacher, kailangan yung serbisyo mo,” he added.
After two years, she was transferred to a school closer to their home. The best part for her was being with her students. She said there’s a different feeling of fulfillment when teaching children.
Although she was happy with the profession she had long dreamed of and worked hard for, Rich had to make a big decision. After eight years of teaching, Rich resigned from her beloved job. The most painful part of resigning, she said, was saying goodbye to her students who had become dear to her.
“Nakakalungkot, kasi bilang isang guro, hindi ano, kumbaga, ano yung walang taon, yun yung nagging buhay mo sa loob ng walang taon, mamimiss mo talaga,” she said.
This was the reason why he couldn’t help but cry while folding his teaching uniforms. Currently, the teacher is busy with their family business. He dreams of helping his fellow teachers.
