Justice for Killua, the Slain Golden Retriever

KILLUA – Netizens are crying out for justice following the killing of Killua, a Golden Retriever.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), netizens couldn’t help but express their frustration against a certain Anthony Solares, who is said to have killed Killua, a golden retriever. In a video that is making rounds online, Solares can be seen hitting the dog, which was running for its life.

According to Solares, he was prompted to kill the dog thinking the canine might harm his daughter. But Vina Rachelle, the owner of the golden retriever, believes Killua did not intend to cause any harm, as it probably jumped and fell from their gate and might have been anxious and stressed, not used to being outside.

She noted that even if he did bite, it was not enough reason to kill her pet, which was placed inside a sack by Solares after killing it. In a series of Facebook posts, Solares gave his reaction to the incident. He questioned the netizens why they were blaming him and what he did wrong. He even boasted about his connection with a politician in case the owner files a case.

He even warned the owner for posting the video without capturing the whole incident. He claimed that they did not show the dog attempting to attack his little child. However, in another post, he expressed remorse for what he did.

“Aku rin ay nakikiramay sa pagkamatay ni Killua. At ako naman ay humihingi ng dispensa. Maski man sana maintindihan nindo na ako lang nagdepensa kan sakong pamilya, an sakong aki, grabe ang kahadok kun saindang sinugod an aso. Pasensya na,” he said.

He also reprimanded the netizens for involving his family in the issue. He even dared those who were angry at him to sue him. He claimed that he has many witnesses who allegedly saw when his child was in danger.
