Mayor Niña Jose Has a Message for Bashers After Viral Stinky Microphone Video
MAYOR NIÑA JOSE – The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate-turned-politician, addressed bashers amidst her viral stinky microphone video.
Previously, the mayor of Bayambang, Pangasinan, made rounds online after asking to replace the microphone she was using at an event because it emitted a foul odor. “Can I change the mic? There’s bad breath here. Sorry mabaho talaga yung mic,” she said. “Sorry I can’t. It’s amoy maasim,” the mayor added. After mentioning the unpleasant smell, a woman quickly approached to take the mic.
Netizens were delighted with the mayor’s reaction. Some expressed admiration for the mayor’s boldness in addressing the unpleasant smell, with others even comparing her to Kris Aquino.
Mayor Niña Jose spoke out about the recent issue surrounding a video of her speech during the Flag Ceremony, which was altered to mock her. She shared the original version, explaining that the microphone had been hidden for a while, likely causing a bad smell, which she mentioned without intending to embarrass anyone. She also mentioned her tendency to make quirky remarks, jokingly apologizing to the microphone if needed.
“Ang microphone ay hindi ginamit ng sinuman bago ko gamitin bagkus ito ay naitago ng matagal kaya marahil nag-cause ng hindi magandang amoy. Hindi ko iyon nasabi to malign or magpahiya ng tao,” she said.
“Kilala rin ako ng aking close friends at ng aking LGU family sa pagbibitaw ng mga weird statements. That time talagang hindi maganda ang amoy ng microphone. If ever I have to apologize, I will apologize to the microphone because nasabi kong mabaho na ito,” she added.
Mayor Jose stressed the importance of self-reflection, citing “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone,” reminding people to recognize their own flaws before judging others. Amid challenges, she offered her struggles to Christ and urged for spreading love and understanding instead of judgment and hatred. Ending with a local saying, she conveyed her determination to overcome difficulties.
