Live action movie of Naruto
NARUTO – A live-action adaptation of the popular manga is currently in development at Lionsgate, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” has been chosen to lead the project. Creator Masashi Kishimoto has expressed his approval of Cretton, stating that he believes Cretton’s expertise in crafting compelling dramas makes him the ideal director for “Naruto.”
The collaboration between Kishimoto and Cretton has been in the works since late 2015, with Kishimoto emphasizing Cretton’s receptiveness to his ideas and vision for the film.
This announcement adds “Naruto” to the list of iconic anime and manga titles receiving live-action adaptations, alongside recent projects such as “One Piece” and “Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghost Fighter).” Additionally, Netflix has recently released a live-action adaptation of “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”
