Kristine Hermosa Announces Fifth Pregnancy
KRISTINE HERMOSA – The former actress revealed in an Instagram post that she’s pregnant again at the age of 40.
Kristine Hermosa-Sotto is a former actress who gained prominence through her debut in the youth-oriented variety show “Ang TV” in 1995. However, her breakthrough came with the classic soap opera “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” in 2000, which remains one of the top-rating television series in Philippine history.
Kristine has since become one of the country’s leading actresses, starring in numerous beloved soap operas such as “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas,” “‘Til Death Do Us Part,” “Gulong ng Palad,” “Prinsesa ng Banyera,” and “Dahil May Isang Ikaw,” the latter earning her a nomination at the International Emmy Awards and recognition at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards.
Kristine, also known as one half of the iconic “EchoTin” loveteam with Jericho Rosales, has been hailed as one of ABS-CBN’s blockbuster queens. Her contributions to Philippine cinema include the film “Forevermore” (2002), considered one of the most significant films of all time, and her role in the highly successful “Enteng Kabisote” film series alongside Vic Sotto.
In her personal life, Kristine has been married twice. Her first marriage to actor Diether Ocampo ended in annulment in 2009. She then married actor and host Oyo Boy Sotto in 2011, with whom she shares five children.
On Instagram, the former actress revealed that she is expecting once more at the age of 40. Kristine expressed her hopefulness about conceiving again but hadn’t anticipated it until receiving the wonderful news.
“Funny as it may seem, but I still get those butterflies every time I see double lines on the PT (pregnancy test),” she shared. “Kahit pa na ang dami na nila, parang laging 1st time.. iba’t ibang level ng overwhelming emotions each stage of every pregnancy,” she further expressed.
Kristine also emphasized that witnessing and hearing her baby’s heartbeat brings a unique level of happiness. “The peace and joy that come from God are truly unparalleled,” she remarked.
Kristine and Oyo tied the knot in 2011. Their eldest son, Kiel, is adopted. They are parents to three other sons — Kaleb, Marvin, and Vittorio Isaac — and one daughter, Ondrea.
