Ivana Alawi: “This will be the first and last time na magsasalita ako tungkol dito.”
IVANA ALAWI – The actress and content creator broke her silence after being linked to Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez.
It can be recalled that YouTube user @erkaventure posted a video on his YouTube channel where Ivana can be seen at the airport together with Mayor Albee. Also present at that time are Ivana’s sister Mona Alawi, as well as married couple Joey de Leon and Eileen Macapagal.
Although the said video was uploaded last January 11, 2024, it recently went viral online as netizens believed that the video is said to be the proof of who the said actress is linked to the mayor.
In a statement posted on her social media account, the actress said that there are posts and issues involving her name.
She also said that she tried to stay quiet and not talk about the issue, especially when she knows she’s not doing anything wrong. However, she said that she had to clear things up because of the false accusations and hurtful words that are being thrown to her mother and her sister.
“This will be the first and last time na magsasalita ako tungkol dito. HINDI PO AKO ANG NASASABING girlfriend ni Mayor Albee Benitez,” the actress said in a statement.

According to the content creator, she met Mayor Albee when she had work in Bacolod. She even described him as “very accommodating and friendly”, adding that Mayor Albee is not the only politician she met and became friends with.
The actress went on to share that she’s currently seeing someone who makes her happy. She revealed that the person she’s referring to is a respectable businessman and not a politician.
