Enrique Gil on his relationship with Liza Soberano: “We’re both focused on ourselves first”
ENRIQUE GIL – The actor provided an update on his relationship status with Liza Soberano.
During his guesting on Magandang Buhay, Enrique shared the agreement he and Liza Soberano reached. It was reported last year that the two had allegedly split up. However, recent interviews with Enrique suggest that he and Liza are still together.
Regine Velasquez inquired about love to Enrique on the February 12, 2024, episode of the morning talk show. “Can I ask about love?” Asia’s Songbird respectfully inquired. “Puwede naman po,” Enrique promptly responded, while promoting his upcoming movie, I Am Not Big Bird.
Regine asked Enrique, “Are we ready for love? Are we looking for love?” The actor responded cautiously, “Well, not really looking. Not really looking… But, you know, yeah, I’m happy. I’m at peace. I’m happy,” nodding as he spoke.
He then mentioned Liza in his following statement. “Me, I’m focusing on this [I Am Not Big Bird]. Liza is also focusing on her own production company, on her own projects… So, I’m just really happy that we’re both focused on ourselves first. Because we were so caught up on the two of us so much.”
He then mentioned his agreement with Liza. “So, parang we talked na nga, ‘I think were not…’ this is also really good for us to go on our own path in our career, just to be able to grow. It’s just really exciting for me, right now, what we’re going to be doing and giving to the industry. So, yeah, yeah…”
It’s apparent that Enrique didn’t directly confirm whether he’s single or committed, but he did mention Liza’s name. However, it’s certain that as actors, they’ve agreed to separate from their well-known love team LizQuen to focus on individual careers.
Liza is currently in the U.S. pursuing her burgeoning Hollywood career. It was mentioned in Cabinet Files, the column in PEP.ph in December 2023 that Liza admitted in an unaired interview that she and Enrique had broken up.
