Ben&Ben to perform at Ed Sheeran’s concert in the country
BEN&BEN – The indie folk band took to social media proudly announcing that they will be guests at the upcoming concert of Ed Sheeran in the country.
Ed Sheeran, a British singer-songwriter known for his soulful voice, heartfelt lyrics, and impressive guitar skills, was born on February 17, 1991, in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. He began pursuing music at a young age and gained recognition through independent releases and early performances. He rose to international fame with his debut studio album, “+”, pronounced “plus,” released in 2011, featuring hit singles such as “The A Team” and “Lego House.”
Since then, Ed Sheeran has become one of the best-selling music artists worldwide, known for his blend of pop, folk, and acoustic music styles. He has released several successful albums, including “x” (pronounced “multiply”) in 2014 and “÷” (pronounced “divide”) in 2017. Some of his other popular songs include “Shape of You,” “Thinking Out Loud,” and “Perfect.”
The British singer-songwriter is currently gearing up for his + – = ÷ x concert in the country, which will be held at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City on March 9, 2024, with singer-songwriter Callum Scott as a special guest.
In addition to Calum, indie folk band Ben&Ben will also have a special participation in Ed Sheeran’s concert. The group shared their excitement on Facebook about being part of the show. “Ma, special guest na kami ni Ed Sheeran sa concert niya,” the band noted. “parang dati lang, nagcocover lang kami ng “perfect” sa Youtube. Never in our wildest dreams did we think this could happen. Surreal,” the group added.
Ben&Ben is a Filipino indie folk band known for their heartfelt and soulful music. The band consists of twin brothers Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin Guico, along with Poch Barretto, Agnes Reoma, Keifer Cabugao, Pat Lasaten, Jam Villanueva, Toni Muñoz, Andrew de Pano, and Jem Manuel.
They gained widespread recognition in the Philippines for their melodic tunes, poignant lyrics, and captivating performances. Ben&Ben has released several hit songs such as “Kathang Isip,” “Maybe the Night,” and “Pagtingin,” which have resonated with audiences across generations.
