RJ NUEVAS – The Kapuso writer dismissed the allegations suggesting that Bea Alonzo gets projects only after Marian Rivera turns them down.
Bea Alonzo, whose real name is Phylbert Angelli Ranollo Fagestrom, is an actress and model. She gained fame for her roles in various television dramas and films. Some of her notable works include “One More Chance,” “The Love Affair,” and “Four Sisters and a Wedding.”
Marian Rivera, whose full name is Marian Rivera Gracia-Dantes, is also an actress and model. She is well-known for her roles in several television series and films. Rivera rose to fame through her performance in the Filipino adaptation of the Mexican telenovela “Marimar.” She has since starred in numerous successful TV shows and movies.
Rumors suggest that Bea Alonzo gets projects only after Marian Rivera turns them down. However, Kapuso head writer RJ Nuevas firmly dismissed these allegations. The issue surfaced during a discussion on the online show ‘Showbiz Update’ with hosts Ogie Diaz and Mama Loi, touching on Bea’s breakup with Dominic Roque. Ogie pointed out their differing wedding plans, with Bea favoring a lavish affair while Dominic prefers something simpler.
During the conversation, Ate Mrena hinted at a rivalry between Bea Alonzo and Marian Rivera, sharing gossip from a friend at GMA Network claiming that projects are offered to Rivera before Alonzo.
However, RJ Nuevas quickly countered these claims in a Facebook post, stating unequivocally that the shows are genuinely intended for Bea and no one else. He also pointed out that previous projects with Alonzo, like ‘Start-Up’ and ‘Love Before Sunrise,’ were not subject to such scrutiny.
As of press time, there has been no official response from GMA Network or Bea and Marian regarding this controversy.
