Here is the message from Rendon Labador to Jiro Manio following the sale of his Best Actor trophy
RENDON LABADOR – The motivational speaker gave a message to Jiro Manio after selling his Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy to Boss Toyo for P75K.
The renowned former child actor is currently gaining attention online for selling his Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy, awarded for the movie “Magnifico.” He explained that he had to part with his trophy for a mere seventy-five thousand pesos during the Christmas and New Year seasons to cover expenses for his family. “Yung PHP75,000 po from Pinoy Pawnstars ay ginamit ko pong panggastos namin ng family ko noong Christmas and New Year,” he shared with PEP.ph.
Jiro got the idea to sell his Gawad Urian trophy to Boss Toyo after watching the YouTube channel of a controversial content creator. Apart from the Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy, he possesses other accolades from FAMAS, Star Awards, Metro Manila Film Festival, Guillermo Box Office Awards, PASADO, and Gawad Tanglaw.
Despite numerous suggestions for him to revive his acting career, Jiro is steadfast in seeking alternative employment. Currently content with his family, he emphasized that he is contributing to their well-being and striving to overcome past challenges. In the same interview, Jiro Manio openly acknowledged facing mental health issues that led him astray but asserted his commitment to rectifying those mistakes.
However, Rendon Labador appeared unimpressed with the trophy sale. According to Rendon, the trophy’s value diminishes if Jiro doesn’t learn from the entire experience. He also encouraged Jiro to undergo positive changes to give his life value and meaning.
“Wala naman halaga yung trophy mo kung wala kang natutunan sa proseso. Baguhin mo sarili mo para magkaroon ng halaga ang buhay mo. Ang totoong tagumpay ay wala sa php75K na trophy. Hindi na guide ng tama ang batang ito. Kaya kayong mga magulang, huwag ninyo bobolahin ang mga anak ninyo,” he commented.
