Kyle Echarri on doing a BL project in the future
KYLE ECHARRI – The actor recently shared that he’s open to doing a boys’ love (BL) project in the future.
The actor is one of the stars in “Senior High” alongside Andrea Brillantes, JK Labajo, and Xyriel Manabat.
During the final media conference of the series held on January 9, 2024 at the Dolphy Theater, the stars were asked about the possibility of doing a romance project with their partner being of the same gender.
Kyle said in an interview with the entertainment press that he’s open to doing a BL project in the future as long as JK would be his on-screen partner. He also said that his chemistry with JK can rival “TimPoch” – on-screen partnership of Miggy Jimenez and Zaijian Jaranila in the series.
“As long as si JK. Basta si JK. Magkasama kami, ‘We Love OPM’ pa lang. ‘The Voice Kids’ pa lang, d’un na kami nagkakilala,” he said.

JK agreed with Kyle’s remarks, saying that their friendship goes way back. He also said that he’s sad that they never had a scene together in the series.
It was last January 9, 2024 when he shared a post dedicated to his younger sister Bella Echarri on what would have been her 13th birthday. According to him, it’s been hard celebrating any and every occasion without his younger sister.
In his message to Bella, Kyle said that she always had the biggest dreams and will always be the most talented little girl he has ever met in his life. He also said that he missed saying goodnight to her and to their mama every night and he missed seeing her smile and making her laugh.
To recall, Bella was diagnosed with a brain tumor and she was only 12 years old when she passed away last April 2023.
