In a now-viral post, a woman said she was upset and revealed that she was upset after discovering that her engagement ring was bought by her boyfriend from Shopee for only 299 pesos. She wonders whether she should make a big deal out of it or if she is being too immature. Now, she’s contemplating whether to ignore her feelings or confront him, as she doesn’t want to ruin the moment.
But, according to the alleged guy in the issue, it hurts a lot knowing that his girlfriend did not appreciate his effort for her. He questioned if the price of the engagement ring does matter.
He went on to share that he was the breadwinner of their family, and he had a lot of struggles and responsibilities such as supporting his youngest sibling’s studies. He claimed that although he could buy a ring within a 4-digit price range, he chose not to because, for him, it was only a promise ring for the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
He said he did not expect his girlfriend’s reaction to his engagement ring. He added that they could have talked about it at first. He admitted that he was hurt by the reactions of the public, especially those who are judging him, calling him cheap. He stressed that “LOVE DOESN’T HAVE PRICE.”
However, his whole world suddenly fell apart because of the issue. Unfortunately, the post became an eye-opener for him to decide to break up with his girlfriend and cancel their wedding plans. He’s wondering if his girlfriend complained about the cheap ring, what would happen in the long run.
