PBBM Reveals Reason for Attending Coldplay Concert
Why did PBBM attend the Coldplay concert?
COLDPLAY – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. revealed that he attended the concert of the British rock band at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan last Friday, January 19, because it was an event that should not be missed.
During a Tuesday, January 23 interview with journalists, Marcos was asked if he still had “me time” amidst his hectic schedule and if his attendance at the Coldplay concert was part of it.
“Of course… Siguro by now alam na ninyo music lover talaga ako,” Marcos replied. “I have been for a long time. I studied music for many years, and to have somebody like Coldplay, unmissable dapat ‘yun. You cannot miss. By the way, it was fantastic,” he added.
Recently, videos and photos circulated on social media showing three helicopters at the concert venue, believed to be carrying VIPs, including the president, accompanied by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and their son William Vincent.
The Presidential Security Group (PSG), led by PSG commander Maj. Gen. Nelson Morales, promptly issued an explanation and an official statement regarding the family’s use of the presidential helicopter. According to Morales, the PSG ensured the security of the president and first lady due to the large crowd at the concert, estimated to be around 40,000 individuals.
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that some congressmen criticized the president’s use of a helicopter for the concert, as well as the PSG’s explanation about it.
