Supreme Court on schedule for the 2024 Bar exam

SUPREME COURT – The Supreme Court of the Philippines has announced the schedule for the 2024 Bar examination.

The Office of the Bar Chairperson said in Bar Bulletin No. 1 that the 2024 Bar exam will be conducted on September 8, 11, and 15, 2024, with Associate Justice Mario Lopez as chairperson.

Considering the achievements and wealth of experience from previous years, the 2024 Bar Examinations #BarNiJLo2024 shall remain digitalized and regionalized with condensed schedule and multiple examiners,” the Office of the Bar Chairperson said.

The Office of the Bar Chairperson said the 2024 Bar exam will bridge the gap between the study and practice of law and will also guide qualified Bar examinees in their transition from law students to “potentially capable” and “practice-ready” lawyers.

In addition, the Office of the Bar Chairperson said that the questions will be geared toward practical skills and jurisprudential perspectives “to evince analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong sense of ethics, professionalism, empathy for clients, and commitment to public service as minimum benchmarks for admission to the practice of law”.

According to the Office of the Bar Chairperson, matters regarding the application procedures, venues of local testing centers in the country, and other guidelines in the conduct of the 2024 Bar Exam will be announced in subsequent Bar bulletins.

The Supreme Court reminds the public that only issuances and notices posted on its official website and legitimate social media accounts are true and accurate information.

It was last week when the Supreme Court announced that 3,812 out of 10,387 Bar examinees passed the September 2023 Bar Exam.
