Here’s the reaction of Ogie Diaz on the breakup of KathNiel
OGIE DIAZ – The talent manager-vlogger has openly shared his thoughts about the breakup of KathNiel in the latest episode of the “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update.”
Ogie acknowledged that while there is a sense of vindication, there is also a tinge of sadness. Ogie emphasized that they had known about the split for a while but refrained from taking the lead or preemptively announcing it since it should come from KathNiel themselves.
“Sa totoo lang noon pa namin alam na break yung dalawa. Pero sino naman kami para kami yung manguna o pangunahan namin ang KathNiel na dapat sa kanila manggagaling. Kaya malinaw yung sinasabi ko na di pwedeng i-confirm unless i-confirm nung dalawa na sila’y break na,” said Ogie.
Upon reading the confirmation, Ogie admitted receiving numerous messages and calls proclaiming their vindication. He acknowledged feeling a sense of happiness for being proven right but also expressed a moment of introspection, questioning if he played a role in the relationship’s outcome. Ultimately, he clarified that they merely reported the news and were not responsible for the developments in KathNiel’s relationship.
“Siyempre nung nabasa ko yun, andaming nag-send, tumatawag, nagme-message na vindicated ka na, sa totoo lang ayaw ko namang magpaka-ipokrita, yes, happy ako dahil vindicated kami, pero at the same time, andun din yung lungkot… parang sandali, tinanong ko pa nga yung sarili ko, kasalanan ko ba’t nagkaganito yung relasyon nila, hindi, binalita lang naman namin yon eh…” he added.
It was on Thursday when actress Kathryn Bernardo confirmed the end of her long-time relationship with her boyfriend Daniel Padilla. Sharing throwback photos and a heartfelt message on Instagram, she captioned it with “Chapter closed.” Daniel, in a subsequent Instagram post, shared a photo with Kathryn, expressing the significance of love in life.
