LEILA DE LIMA – The former senator took to social media to share her reaction to the breakup of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, popularly known as KathNiel.
Actress Kathryn Bernardo confirmed the end of her long-time relationship with her boyfriend Daniel Padilla through an Instagram post on Thursday. Sharing throwback photos and a heartfelt message, she captioned it with “Chapter closed.” Kathryn acknowledged the circulating rumors and stated, “It’s true that Deej (Daniel Padilla) and I have decided to part ways.”
She emphasized the authenticity of their over-a-decade relationship, both as a love team and a real couple. While expressing the pain of their decision, she urged KathNiel fans not to take sides and to understand their need for separation. Daniel, in a subsequent Instagram post, shared a photo with Kathryn, expressing the significance of love in life.
On Twitter, Leila de Lima expressed her gratitude to KathNiel for being a source of inspiration, even though she has not seen them in person yet and has only been with them through a standee. She wished them continued growth and healing. She also assured them of ongoing support and extended blessings to them, their fans, and their family.

Meanwhile, KathNiel was speculated to have broken up after Ogie Diaz mentioned in a vlog that Daniel and actress Andrea Brillantes were secretly meeting; however, no response was given by both parties regarding this matter.
