Here’s the reason why Karylle was absent on It’s Showtime during DongYan’s guesting
KARYLLE – The It’s Showtime host was absent during the guesting of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera on the noontime program.
Karylle’s name has been trending on social media due to the guest appearance of the Kapuso Primetime King and Queen on It’s Showtime as they promote their movie, “Rewind.” The film marks the first and comeback movie of DongYan under Star Cinema.
Because of their appearance on the show, netizens and the audience anticipated that it would be the moment the three faced each other. To recall, Karylle is an ex-girlfriend of Dingdong, and their breakup became controversial because of Marian. At the time, the latter was accused of being the reason behind their separation.
Karylle’s smile even became controversial when Boy Abunda asked her about it on “The Buzz,” the now-defunct showbiz-oriented talk show of ABS-CBN. Meanwhile, netizens noticed the absence of Karylle during the guesting of DongYan on It’s Showtime.
Prior to DongYan’s guesting, the singer-actress posted on social media last December 13 that she wasn’t feeling well and would be missing work for a couple of days to recover. “Woke up sick so I’ll be missing work for a couple of days! Stay healthy everyone 🫶🏽,” Karylle posted. Her co-host Ogie Alcasid commented, “Be healed K.”
Her absence during DongYan’s guesting elicited mixed reactions from the netizens. “Mga siraulo kayo.. ang awkward naman talaga pag anjan si K.. get well soon Karylle…” one netizen said. “Hello kahit naman happy na sila parehas sa mga buhay nila ngayon hindi ba na awkward ke Karylle na andyan siya habang pinag uusapan ganap nung mag asawa? Kung ayaw niya, ayaw niya. Period. Hindi yung dame sinasabe ke Karylle kesyo di makamove on,” another netizen commented.
Meanwhile, Karylle has not yet responded or made a statement about this.
