Yasser Marta: “Araw-araw yung trabaho. Kailangan kong mamili talaga.”
YASSER MARTA – The actor spoke about his breakup with Kate Valdez and also revealed the reason why they broke up.
The actor currently stars in Kapuso primetime series titled “Lovers/Liars”, while Kate is one of the stars in the Philippine adaptation of 2009 hit Korean drama series “Shining Inheritance”.
In a report on PEP.ph, Yasser admitted that he and Kate broke up and it’s been three months since they separated. But when asked if their career in the showbiz industry had anything to do with their breakup, he said, “Wala naman.”
The actor went on to reveal the reason why they broke up, sharing that he’s unable to balance his work, love life, and family responsibilities. He also said that his mother had a stroke and he had to take care of her.
PEP.ph also reported that Yasser’s mother had a stroke four months ago and the actor admitted that he’s “sobrang depressed” at that time.
“Araw-araw yung trabaho. Kailangan kong mamili talaga,” the actor said. “E, siyempre, nanay ko pa rin po talaga yon. Kaya yung oras ko, binuhos ko po talaga sa kanya,“
Yasser was also asked if he and Kate had a conflict because he was devoting more time to his mother and his work. In response, the actor said “Halu-halo na lang” and admitted that he doesn’t know how to balance his time.
But when he was asked if he and Kate had a closure, the actor said “Nagkausap naman kami nang maayos.”
He went on to describe the status of his relationship with Kate. The actor shared that they’re not okay “pero hindi naman yung hindi super okay”, adding that they no longer have communication, no longer see each other, and no longer talk to each other.
