Hardworking Father Earns Praise Online for Selling Bread & Bibingka to Support Children’s Education
SILAY CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – A hardworking father sells bread and bibing (rice cake) to support the education of his three children.
A hardworking father is frequently the first to get up and the last to go to bed. Whether he is on the job or doing household tasks, his dedication to providing for his family is relentless. The early morning hurry is more than an obligation for him; it is a proof to his perseverance and commitment to provide the greatest possible life for his loved ones.
Recently, Ireneo Papasin, a 42-year-old father from Barangay 2 in the city of Silay, Negros Occidental goes viral for striving to provide a better life for his family and ensure that his three children can go to school. He is known for selling bread and “bibingka,” to make ends meet.
Tatay Ireneo has been selling these delicacies outside the San Nicolas De Tolentino Parish Church in Talisay City, for quite some time. He works in a bakery on weekdays and sells bibingka for only P10 outside the church to earn some extra income on Sundays.
The hardworking father shared that his wife doesn’t have a permanent job, but she sells Ready-to-Wear clothing in Silay City to contribute to their daily expenses. Despite facing financial struggles, they work together diligently every day.
One of his children is currently attending high school, while the other two are still in elementary school. Despite the difficulties they face, Tatay Ireneo and his wife are committed to working hard to ensure that their children complete their education.
“Apisar sa kapigaduhon, naga-obra kami sa gihapon sang tinarong kaupod ang akon asawa agud mapatapos namon ang amon kabataan sa ila pageskwela,” he said.
