ANGEL GUARDIAN – The actress shared what she promised to Iza Calzado, who played the role of original Sang’gre “Amihan” in Kapuso fantaserye “Encantadia”.
In an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda”, she said she promised that she will do her best and she won’t waste the opportunity to play the role of Sang’gre “Deia” in the upcoming Kapuso fantaserye “Sang’gre: Encantadia Chronicles”.
Angel Guardian also shared that she saw how special “Deia” is to Iza Calzado, whose daughter’s name is Deia Amihan.

IZA CALZADO – The former “Encantadia” star shared the first thing she did when she arrived in the GMA building after 12 years.
The Kapamilya actress is set to star in the upcoming horror movie “Shake, Rattle, and Roll Extreme”. She appeared on Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where she talked about her experience getting in to the building.
Turning emotional, Iza shared in an interview with talk show host Boy Abunda that she had goosebumps as soon as she stepped inside the building after 12 years.
According to her, the first thing she did when she arrived in the GMA building was to take a photo with the “Beyond Broadcasting” statue on GMA’s facade.
The actress went on to share that she missed her father when she looked at the gazebo because he used to hang out there a lot. She added that she somehow visualized her father greeting her with the warmest smile.
“Ang unang naisip ko, nagpa-picture kasi ako do’n sa statue, [tapos] tumingin ako sa gazebo, namiss ko yung tatay ko,” she said. “Kasi laman siya no’n, eh. Kung nakatrabaho niyo ‘yung tatay ko dito, nagsisigarilyo ‘yun, nakatambay. And somehow I visualized him greeting me with the warmest smile.”
It was in 2011 when Iza’s father, Lito Calzado, passed away due to liver cancer at the age of 65. She transferred to ABS-CBN in 2012.
Iza’s showbiz career started with the GMA Network as she was part of the hit Kapuso fantaserye “Encantadia” in 2005 where she played the role of “Amihan”. Along with her in the series are fellow original Sang’gres Diana Zubiri, Karylle, and Sunshine Dizon.
In the same interview, the actress said that she’s open to working on a project with GMA Network again if the opportunity presents itself. But when asked about the possibility of having a special role in the upcoming sequel to “Encantadia” titled “Sang’gre: Encantadia Chronicles”, she simply said, “Sabi nga ni Diana Zubiri, abangan!”
